The Stallion service fee of $800.00 is due and payable upon the mares arrival at ESR.

All arrangements for stallion service will be made separately from this contract by the Owner.

Owner agrees to provide ESR with a negative Coggins report taken within ninety (90) days prior to arrival, or ESR will draw one at Owners expense.

Owner agrees to provide ESR with proof of vaccination within ninety (90) days prior to arrival for the following: Encephalitis, Tetanus, Influenza, Rhinopneumonitis, West Nile, Rabies, and Strep Equi (Strangles), or ESR will vaccinate at Owners expense.

Owner agrees that deworming and dental care will be current or ESR will provide services at Owners expense.

Owner is required to provide ESR with proof of a Negative EVA Titer drawn within 30 days or ESR will draw one at Owners expense.

Owner agrees that all mares are required to have permanent identification via microchip implantation. Mares without existing microchips will have one placed upon arrival at $32.00, billed to mare Owner.

A chute fee will not be charged for mares bred to Oaxaca Chexx during the 2007 breeding season. All procedures performed on the mare will be done on a per service basis. Basic charges anticipated in the breeding of the mare are reproductive ultrasounds at $25.00 per event, artificial insemination at $15.00 per insemination and hormonal supplement to aid in the process of ovulation; cost is dependant on drug used ranging from $25.00 to $50.00. A clean uterine culture is required prior to insemination of mare, if a negative culture result is not provided for the heat cycle to be bred on a uterine culture and cytology ($75.00) will be done at the expense of the mare Owner. Additional charges that can be incurred are for the following services: uterine biopsy, deep horn insemination, treatment of uterus for bacterial infection (uterine infusion & lavage), hormonal therapy and diagnostic testing. These items will be billed on a monthly basis.

If you intend to foal your mare out at ESR the foaling fee will be $300.00 for observation and attendance of normal foaling. This fee does not include complicated foaling or newborn care. The fee is due upon the mares arrival at ESR.
Mares will be boarded at ESR for $15.00 per day for dry mares and $17.00 per day for wet mares. The mare care charges are payable on a monthly basis.

Embryo Retrieval is available Owner is responsible for making arrangements with an embryo receiving center for transfer to a recipient mare. A list of centers is available upon request.
Owner agrees to pay all additional charges and boarding expenses prior to release of the mare. A credit card number will be on file at the time the mare is received by ESR and incurred fees will be charged monthly and/or upon mares release.
Owner agrees to allow ESR veterinary staff to check the mare and perform any veterinary services ESR deems necessary. This includes, but is not limited to, deworming, vaccination, treatment for infections, cuts and abrasions, and preventative measures.

Owner understands ESR will not be responsible for any accident, sickness, or death to the mare, whether from fire, theft, act of God, or any other reason, and owner will exercise his/her judgment in caring for and supervising the mare. In the event of an injury or death to the mare, Owner will look solely to his/her own insurance. In the event anyone assesses a cause of action against Owner on account of any injury or death to mare, Owner agrees to hold ESR harmless from any such cause or action, including the cost of defending the same.
